Airport Extreme HDD access using XP

I have an Airport extreme with a TB drive attached I can access this fine both in and out of network using my Mac, but I was wondering what I need to do to access this drive out of network using my XP machine. I have tried using the IP like I did with my mac and that didn't work. Any suggestions would be much appreciated, Thanks.
