hey guys and gals,

A random question. I have my Time Capsule (new dualband) and thats working snazy. I recently took my now old Airport Extreme N (none dualband) and was tinkering with it.

I know that it can extend the network (but that means speedcuts) but what will it do for me if it joined my network. whats the benefit? Thanks in advance as always

1.you could add hardwired clients (i believe, it works on the express, don't have an extreme) so put the extreme next to a playstation or something and connect them via ethernet, the play station would then have access to your network.

2.you could add network hard drives.

3. if you can get an ethernet cable (even using ethernet over power) to somewhere towards the other side of your house you could make a second access point.

3. get a few $$ on ebay.
