Airport Extreme, mac cant see attached disk

Hello,

Hooked everything up and both my ibook and MBP can access the net wirelessly fine. Installed the airport utility on my ibook to setup the airport, not on my MBP. i just attached an external flash disk and my ibook see it just fine and can copy files to the flashdisk connected to the airport but went to turn on my mbp and cant see the drive. how do i get my mbp to access the shared drive? do i have to install the software on both computers?

also, my disk shows up as "no name". is there anyway to change the name other than no name?
