AirPort Extreme - New Model Number?

I want to be sure I'm buying the new one with Gigabit Ethernet. Is there something written about Gigabit on the box or is the model number different?

I had the same problem as you did, and annoyingly enough Apple in Bluewater had both revisions on the shelves but the box artwork/spec are identical!

They assured me that part no MB053B/A is the new gigabit one and sure enough it is the one I purchased.

Add me to the list as well. Bought it of Apple UK Store but was still a bit sceptical whether or not I would get a gigabit one.

I just checked with the model number Rdowns gave and mine is the same so hopefully is a gigabit one.

Seems a bit strange how they couldnt just alter the packaging ever so slightly and write on the section at the back describing how the ports connect to computers and modems with something like now over gigabit ethernet. Would make sense, sell the product more to someone looking at it and stop the confusion!!!!

Model Number for AirPort Extreme?

The model number I have is MB053LL/A It has all the right words on the pkg, but software does not match what was advertised. Can't get printer to work on network and external HD is slow and locks up. I got it 10% off at the Apple Store. Is this the newest? Thanks DaveWright

I ordered the old gigabit version 3 weeks ago when it was out of stock. I have today received it but the model number is MB763B/A. Is this the new version? The specs state that it is 'simultaneous dual-band' so I am guessing it is.

But why has the other poster got model number MB764LL/A? Is the LL just for a different country?

I think I have a bargain if I have the new version as I only paid £116.00 for it.
