I just purchased a airport extreme off ebay so I could share my time machine backup disk. I reset it and configured the airport. Under the disk tab I can see my external hdd (WD passport 250gb) and selected the file sharing tab and protected it with device password. After the restart no HDD shows on my desktop and in time machine there is no disc to backup to...?!?! Do I need to use a freshly formated disc?
