Hi,

My main backup destination (cracked dlink dns323 NAS) is getting strange with lots of input/output errors randomly deleting its own root/.ssh folders etc.
I need a solution soon.

My network sits with following devices:
1 MacBook Pro
1 MacBook White
2 Iphone 4
2 Airport Express
1 AppleTV 2
1 NAS wired to the Netgear router.

Should i get an airport extreme with usb disc or an time capsule?

Thanks!

I concur. If your router doesn't need replacing, get a Synology NAS. Much more versatile than either solution and supports Time Machine backups.

Synology NAS, problem fixed.

Which model specifically are you suggesting? Just clicking around the Synology website a little these look a little pricey as a Time Capsule replacement. Maybe I am looking at the wrong product line. The feature set does look nice though.
