I have tried everything I know to fix this and searched some online help forums but can't get my airport back running.

Here is the problem:
I have a comcast cable modem and lost my connection this morning. Had comcast reset the modem and they said everything was fine on their end. When plugged directly into my MacPro internet is fine, but when plugged into the airport I get the blinking amber light. I tried a soft reset of the Airport and a hard reset and every time it keep on with the Amber light.
When I open the airport utility it just says there is a internet connection problem and no Valid IP address and to contact my ISP?

Any help out there?

Thanks,
Mark

have you hard reset the modem? if not, it is still looking for the mac pro.

just make sure the extreme is connected to the modem with the ethernet before you cycle power. i'd cycle power on both the modem and the extreme.
