Airport Extreme questions

So I believe I just picked up the updated AE from the apple store where I live. When I load it and click on the airport utility/internet/ethernet WAN port which is on auto, but I click on the drop down and I only see 100 Mbps/Full Duplex as the highest choice.

I thought the new ones allowed for up to 1000 Mbps? Am I thinking wrong here?

It should say 'gigabit' here & there on the side of the box.

on one of the stickers it says, 1 gigabit ethernet WAN, 3 gigabite lan ports..

I just thought on the software area it would say 1000 instead of 100 Mbps
