Airport Extreme range vs, say a Netgear

Anyone have comparisons on wireless range between a reasonable G router such as from say Netgear or Draytek, and the Extreme?

Comparable? Better (I suspect this will be the majority of answers but I'd appreciate any non-automatic-Apple-pwns-all responses ) or worse? I just would like to know what assumptions I should make before deploying in a large house.

My AEBS has a much better range than my WRT54G running custom firmware (SVEASOFT). I had tweaked the settings on the WRT too to increase antenna strength.

Now I can't give you technical numbers, but I have full bars throughout my (fairly large) house with the AEBS and I didn't with the linksys.

I can also attest that its about 2000 times better than the crappy WRT54GP2 Vonage router that I still use for Vonage only (disabled wireless). This particularl router is so bad, I lost confidence in Linksys and bought the AEBS.

I know you asked for Netgear, but this is all I have in comparison.
