With my MacBook Pro sitting on the desk right next to my Airport Extreme Base Station, I get, according to iStumbler, a varying signal strength between 50 and 75%. I see the same with my wife's MacBook. I also have an Airport Express in another room set to "Extend a network" and I see about the same there. Shouldn't the signal strength be higher?

Regards

John

I don't have iStumbler so I don't know how accurate it is in terms of measuring signal strength, however I have a couple suggestions for you to take a look at. In AirPort Utility, under the AirPort heading and the Wireless tab, click on Wireless Options. Do you have the Transmit Power set to 100%? Is interference robustness enabled?

Yep... 100%. Don't have robustness enabled... I've been told it degrades performance when enabled. I'll try it and see what happens.
