I am using an AirPort Extreme for my home network. It had been working well for about a year, but in the past week, I've been seeing extremely slow download speeds on one computer on the network.
I have two computers on the network, a MacBook running Mac OS 10.6, and a PC running Windows 7. The MacBook gets a good connection, with speed test results (speedtest.net) of 10.4 Mbps download and 0.8 Mbps upload, near the advertised speed for my service. The PC however gets only 0.06 Mbps download and 0.8 Mbps upload. When plugged in directly to the cable modem, it also gets 10.4 Mbps download.
I have tried updating the firmware on the AirPort and doing a factory reset without success. It's also not a signal strength issue, since the PC is right next to the router, while the Mac is farther away. The PC is able to connect to other networks (at work, public hotspots, etc.) without trouble.
Has anyone had a similar problem? Is it likely an issue with the PC, or a hardware issue with the AirPort?
Thanks!
