Hey there,

Today I noticed my wifi wasn't working properly. An optimistic quick reset led to an AE with a solid amber light.

Some research later I've come to the following conclusions:
1. Wi-Fi works when using internal IP addresses.
2. Re-enabling 'distribute range of IP addresses' or Bridge mode inevitably leads to the startup sequence hanging.
3. All ethernet connected devices do get IP addresses while startup sequence is hanging.

Hypotheses:
1. Hardware failure (weird cause regular Wi-Fi functionality appears intact)
2. ISP changed some settings, screwing me royally.
3. One device isn't properly interfacing with the AE, causing it to hang.
4. Stacked AE and Mac mini are causing heat problems.

Setup:
1. AirPort Extreme 802.11n (1st Generation)
2. Mac Mini Intel Core Solo
3. MacBook Pro 2009 2.53Ghz
4. Hackintosh running 10.7
5. Brother MFC-845CW

Anyone have any clues?
