My time machine is full. It made room for a backup two days ago by deleting the first files, etc. Now it won't backup any more, saying it needs "x" amount of space and my backup file is "x" (too large to backup). Why doesn't it create more room and delete another old file like it says it will? Any way to erase the drive and have 2TB for backups again? I cannot fine a solution or what to do next.

If you want to erase the disk completely open Airport Utility, click edit, the last tab at the top is discs, open and there is an archive or erase option

Yes, I see that now! Thank you for your help. I'm going to try another time to see if the disk will make room for another update as it should. If not, I may as well erase it and start over. Again, thanks.
