AirPort Extreme Update Cycle

I see that MacRumors Buyers Guide doesn't track stuff like the AirPort and other peripherals. Does anyone know the dates of latest release and how often the AirPort stuff gets updated?

Specifically the Airport Extreme.

It varies a lot. There was an update in October of 2009, so last year. There might not be one until January of 2012 or we might see on with the next iMac refresh. Any speculation is fair game.
