Airport Extreme +USB HD probs

Hey,

Yesterday I bought a new Macbook, an Airport Extreme router and a 1Tb WD Elements Desktop USB HD.
Got the Airport router setup so I can use internet and stuff but when I plug in my USB HD the Airport router light turns from green to orange and It keep starting up with no result.
Trying to set up the HD through the Airtport Utility it can't find the HD.
Attaching it to the normal USB port on my Macbook all is fine and it works like it should.

I tried everything I know about this stuff but norting works.

Somebody with a suggestion?
