Airport Extreme V TP-Link

Does anyone know if i get a Airport Extreme hooked up to my TP-Link
W8980 if i will get stronger and better wifi speeds than the TP-Link on its own? Get the occasional wifi drop outs on it too and have to restart modem.
Would like to know before i drop the cash. Also does the Airport have a on/off switch on it?

It is hard to say if the Airport would have better wifi range. It might since it is a newer design.

There is no on/off switch on the Airport Extreme. You can either unplug it, or manage it from the Airport Utility app.

Would it cause any problem to unplug it all the time. Want to be able to turn wifi off overnight.

Would it be better with a house full of Apple products? AE that is.
