I want to upgrade to the 'N' speed benefits and the shared USB Hard drive on the Airport Extreme.
I already have a Linksys box that connects to my broadband, and creates a VPN tunnel to my company network. It has a 'G' wireless.
Can I simply plug in a single wired ethernet cable from this Linksys box into the WAN port of the Airport Extreme - allowing any computers connected to the AE to take advantage of the VPN tunnel, and 'N' wireless?
I guess I could get rid of the Linksys if the AE has the ability to do VPN tunnels, but I haven't seen any discussion of that so I assume it doesn't. I also like the idea of plugging it in on the main or top floor of my house - the Linksys and cable modem are in the basement, which doesn't get great wireless range.
