First let me say I'm not a Mac person and not much of a IT person. With that stated neither is the "IT Guy" for the customer I am working with....
We are trying to install a remote IP phone for a customer. We need a VPN connection to make this happen. The customer has Mac's and a AirPort Extreme router with a static IP ( total of 5 available). The remote location has DHCP from provider.
I need a VPN connection that will be in service all the time. I am connecting a IP phone from the Toshiba CIX40 that needs a VPN internal address to connect to the IP card in the system. The system IP card has to be set with a internal address because it is using a SIP based voicemail with a internal address.
I guess what I am asking is can I setup a VPN connection from the AirPort in the main office to another AirPort or other device at the remote location that will be up all the time and connect the Toshiba IP phone to it?
