Airport Extreme w/printer and external HDD

Hi All,

I'm two weeks into being an Apple owner.

I'm having problems with the Airport Extreme (AE) and configuring it with two additional devices.

Tonight I installed the AE with Belkin USB hub. The AE recognizes my HP printer on the hub. I'm unable to configure the Time Machine because I can't seem to add the external HDD to the AE.

Do I have to restore AE to the default setting to get it to recognize the 1.8T Seagate GoFlex external HDD so the Time Capsule will see it?

I thought, the Airport Express does not support hard drives. The Airport Extreme base station does, but AFAIK, the AE only supports printers.

You're right, I meant to say Airport Extreme...so I went back and edited the post. Good catch, thank you
