I'm planning on buying an Extreme for a variety of reasons but I have a question...

The wireless internet service provided by my housing complex is atrocious, but when I plug my mac into the wall port via ethernet cable it is pretty good. If I get an Extreme and plug it into the same port and then access the wifi the Extreme creates, will it be just as good?

Thanks. I'm retarded when it comes to this stuff so please no hating

Yes, the dual band airport extreme can easily maintain the speed that you would get when connected to an ethernet port. Unless your house is big, an airport express would be sufficient.

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 3_1 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/528.18 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/4.0 Mobile/7C144 Safari/528.16)

The AirPort Extreme will be what you need. It's very stable and N is fast.
