I bought an Airport Extreme for my WinXP Pro system, and I have been experiencing a recurring issue with this hardware.
If for some reason Airport Extreme shuts down or loses sync (power failure, cable down, etc..), it takes forever to turn back on and sync again.
Today, there was a power failure. I unplugged it, plugged it back in, and nothing...no light. I then wait for the AC plug itself instead of the connector in the back. Same thing, no light when I plug it back in. Maybe 10 mins later, I try again, I get a solid orange light which seems stuck.
After some frustration, I unplug the connector and replyg several times in a row, and it suddenly flashes orange and eventually connects.
It may takes 30 mins or more for this thing to power up and sync again. What is the problem??
