Airport Extreme

Hello everyone,

I have been following this site for a few weeks now and come to like the Apple community much more so than that of the "other" kind. Anyways, I am currently looking to purchase the Airport Extreme Base Station from my in home wireless router. Currently there will be one pc tower (used as an in home media server) and to Apple laptops.

My question here is based off of prior release dates w/ different versions of the Airport Extreme, would it be better to wait for the newer version to come out?

I have one question too about the airpor. Do you know how much is the Tx Rate of AirPort Extreme? My TP-LINK the wireless TX is 150mbps. I cant found this information about airport.

get one used save yourself 50 bucks.

as far as the transfer/transmit rate: I'm getting 270 for my wireless N device (mid 2009 mbp)

better yet, buy a factory refurb unit straight from apple with a one year warranty.

price is better than most preowned anyway.
