Is 3x3 MIMO a/b/g/n support really needed

Kind of a computer noob, but isn't the most widely used is g/n?

Do we really need a a/b/g/n card?

Or it's just overkill? because all macs have them macbook, imac, macbook pro ( except mac pro)

For most people, no... it's not "needed."

Probably.

There are still plenty of a/b/g networks out there. If you didn't have an a/b/g/n card, you'd inevitably find yourself in a hotspot with the revision your card doesn't support.
