Airport Extremes: Repeated Dropouts

Hi all,

I'm a technology teacher/coordinator who is trying to trouble shoot our school's AirPort Extremes. Recently 8 of our Airport Extremes have been continually dropping out. Once the base stations are restarted, the teacher's are able to reconnect in a matter of minutes. This will last for a few hours, and than I will need to restart the stations for them.

The firmware is the latest addition (as far as I can tell) 7.4.2


The stations are set to use DHCP..

Does anyone have any advice? Or know what I should do to fix this issue?

try posting this in the networking section, you will get more thorough information

you might also want to mention how old the airports are, are there 8 total so 8/8 are having issues or are there some working fine, maybe how many people are on the network and the network load, how the airports are managed, other devices that might be causing interference (phones, electric appliances), what channel frequency you are broadcasting signal on. i have no clue what the problem is but this info might prove helpful to others
