Hello

We have a late 2005 Dual Processor (2.3Ghz) Power Mac G5, and I was wondering what internet card could be used internally. I believe this would work link, but I was wondering whether purchasing these two products off of ebay would work. link link

Thanks in advance for the help

Late 2005 G5 are dual cores not dual processors. They came in three variants, 2.0 DC, 2.3 DC and 2x.2.5DC (quad core).

There is no dual processor 2.3GHz late 2005 PMG5.

If you have PCIe graphics then it is a late 2005 G5. Early models of G5's have AGP graphics. You can tell a late 2005 PMG5 by looking at the back. If there is a white strip (Wifi Antennae), then it is a late 2005 if there is none, it is an early PMG5.

Thanks!

Thanks for finding that. I don't know why I had been thinking that it was a Late 2005.

I almost forgot: I believe that only the late 2005 had the antenna on the back- this Power Mac certainly doesn't. Will I need to buy one or will I be able to use wireless, but with poor reception?
