Airport worked just fine yesterday, turned off computer. Turned computer back on and now airport is not working. The computer is not even recognizing that I have the hardware for airport per system profiler.

Help what do I do?!

Edit: Ok just rebooted my computer about 3,000 times out of frustration and now its working. What happened? What can I do to prevent this in the future?

It's weird that there have been at least two threads about airport suddenly malfunctioning today. Is there any chance this has something to do with the latest security update?

MBP it's built in.

I think it was the elfs.

Yes, it came with an AirPort card, but that doesn't mean it couldn't have slipped loose. It's still a card in a slot

That's possible too. Have they both installed the update?

Sometimes the Airport card can become partially unplugged in Apple's laptops (it's happened to me before).

Open up your laptop and trying pushing the Airport card in firmly, making sure that all connections are good. Or take it to an Apple store or repair shop.
