Airport help

My internet went out a few days ago and now after it is fixed, my wifi doesn't work. The airport's light is green and my macbook shows that it is connected to the internet but when I go to another page other than my homepage it shows the try again message. The only way I can can connect to the internet is if I plug the ethernet cable directly to my other laptop that runs on windows, but this same method won't work for my macbook. Any solutions?

Have you tried a factory reset?
Unplug the Airport from power, press the reset button and while holding the reset button plug it in again and hold the reset button for a few seconds.
Alle your settings will be reset but this helps me most of the times when things won't work.
