Somebody told me they did this but I dont know if its possible. Can a macbook send out an airport signal if it is pluged into the internet so that my Ipod Touch can browse online and stuff?

You can set up the airport card for internet connection sharing if you are plugged in via Ethernet. Go to system preferences, sharing, and internet. You can set it up from there. It should be pretty easy by just goofing around with it.

Just make sure you click the "airport options" button and password protect your network. You could have a hacker's dream on your hands if not.

hey el champo, this is easy:


1. check mac is plugged into ethernet & turn on airport card

2. go syst pref > sharing > internet

3. choose "share connection from" as built in ethernet

4. choose "to computers using" as airport (& only airport)

5. click "airport options" & choose name & encryption (definately encrypt)

6. click start

7. browse on iPod touch :)
