Airport isn't configured anymore

I have a MacBook with OS 10.5.8 and I just installed a linksys router using my computer. I used to be able to connect using Airport but after I installed the router my Airport doesn't work anymore. When I click on the Airport button all it says is that Airport is not configured. I don't know how to reconfigure it or even turn it on. Any help? (I am able to connect using the router I set up too on another computer...)
