Airport keeps turning off on my MBP and can't turn it back on.

I have a Macbook Pro 17" 2.6 GHZ. Model A1261.

The Airport keeps turning off and I can't turn it back on only after a restart, then it will work for another few minutes and then the same problem happens again.

Once it turns off when I click on "turn Airport On" nothing happens.

Can anyone please help me with this? Will buying a new airport card help for my problem? and if yes what exactly do I need to buy.

I already tried a few other things like resetting etc. but no luck.

Same problem - version 10.5.8, build 9L31a, 2.5GHz.

same here on MBP17 the same model and 2.5. Started to do that at around the same time. I narrowed this down to some safari components. did anyone resolved this?

I am also having this problem with 10.5.8.

Did anyone figure this out?

This is yet another problem I'm having with my 2008 MacBook Pro.

I thought this was related to my logic board being replaced, but I guess not if others are having this problem too.
