Airport Network Status

I recently changed location of my modem and airport base station in my home. When I reconnected everything the MBPro would not connect to the internet automatically. The airport icon show no signal even though I am able to receive internet wirelessly. On top of this situation when I restart the computer I have to manually enter all network settings again. The network diagnostics dialogue says I have a connection but it also states that my airport, airport settings and network settings have failed. Any ideas to remedy this situation?
