Hey Everyone,

I've got a network that's being run by an Airport Extreme, and then midway between where that is, and our bedroom (it's one big long apartment), I've got an Airport Express set up to extend the network. My wife and I have noticed that our iPads get 1 or 2 bars when connected in the bedroom (further point from the extreme, and midway from the express) so I assumed our place was just too long. But I've tested with my Retina Macbook Pro in the bedroom and it gets full bars, and full speed (50Mbps).

Any idea why the iPads and iPhones are getting such a crappy connection?

Cheers!

They have a weaker wireless card in comparison the the rMBP. Do you have the latest firmwares for the AirPorts?

Yup! But we're talking a HUGE difference. I mean, the signal quality is awful for phone and tablet in the bedroom. Everything is slow to load. MBP though is perfect. Everything loads instantly, transfers are fast.. I just don't get it.

Have you tried resetting both base stations?
