I am using a proxy connection of the university but strange things happened with AirPort (now it is not working): first of all after i turned off my mac or even when it went to sleep mode, the proxy setting were modified (in particular the Web-Proxy (HTTP) was deactivated and its address changed) although i locked to prevent further changes (I am using also using Secure Web Proxy and FTP proxy). So generally re-setting it was enough but sometimes it was not: so the last times I also renewed the DHCP lease and it was working but now it does not.
Of course I went to the people responsible for the internet, but they solved the problem temporary and told me that something strange was happening.
I confirm that the internet connection of the university sucks but the behaviour of AirPort is very strange.
Another information that I do not if it is useful: the IPv6 is off.
Please help because I am ****ed up
