Here's the deal...

Cable internet, Airport connected to the cable internet through an ethernet cable.

Two computers. One G5 iMac, one G4 iBook.

The G5 iMac connects to the internet, iTunes, software update, etc. with no problems.

The iBook won't connect to iTunes or software update, but can still connect to internet when using Firefox. But not always with Safari.

What gives? Never had this issue before...

Thanks in advance!!

Check the iBook's settings in System Prefs>>Network>>Airport Config>>Proxies. My guess is that you've got something configured in there which needs to be de-selected.

Firefox has it's own proxy connection settings, which is why its behaviour is different to the other apps.
