Airport option in Mac Pro's network prefs?

EDIT: Title should be "Enabling" Airport option in MP's network prefs.

I bought an Airlink USB Adapter that people have gotten to fairly easily work on Macbook Pros and Macbooks. Problem is, when I go to set it up in my Network preferences, the option to show "Network Port Configurations" doesn't exist, like the Airlink manual shows. (see attachments)

I can't figure out how to get this option up. Any help?

My network prefs only show "Location", no "Show"
