My laptop airport card gets to 140 degrees F, and i notice that my internet slows down to 500k. When I plug in it goes back up to 10mbps. Is the heat causing my connection to slow down? Is this normal operating temperature?

How the heck can you detect the temp of the Airport Card?
I've never seen heat cause a drop in performance, I'd test just a little bit more before coming to that conclusion...

Your temps are normal. Heat doesn't contribute to slower connections. If there was a heat failure, you wouldn't have a slower connection, you'd have no connection.

Lol, I always thought it only detected processor/hard drive/GPU...Well I was wrong about that one.
