I cant get my HP 1020 printer to print via aiport extreme base station.
I can print if i plug it directly into my comp USB port.

Airport recognises the printer, and i can install it via printer preferences.

I use OSX leopard.
I have the newest airport.
I have tryed on both my MBP unibody, my iBook G4, and my dekstop PC.

I am pretty computer savvy, but can't make this work.

Pardon my rusty english, its not my native.

I hope some one can help me :)

Thanks im not to sure its drivers thou, since it doenst work on my windows machine either.

If i plug the printer into the airport with a short USB cable, it works.
If i use a longer like 5-6meter USB cable it doenst work, soo looks like the problem might be in the long cable.

I know that USB is only specified to 5meters, but i can detect the printer even with the 5-6 meter cable, and since its selfpowered i think its strange.

Think a powered hub might help?

Hmm when trying to print form comp with the 6 meters cable its no problem.
When pluggin printer into airport and trying to print, it doesnt work.

Can the airport USB port be weak compared to that of my desktop?
