Airport problem

So i recently fixed my problems you may have seen in another topic however now another issue has arisen.

My airport no longer automatically connects to my home network. It picks it up and i have to automatically enter the password. I have gone to network preferences and tried to add the network to preferred networks but when i have it will not let me select OK and all i can click is cancel (see SS).

Perhaps your computer is remembering a password for you network that is incorrect. I would go into "Keychain Access" app and delete any password keychain references to that network. Then try reconnecting to your network, type in your password, and hopefully it will stick.

Thanks for the reply.

I have done the above and when i reconnected to the network and put password curiously it said connection failed but i was actually connected.

and it will still not let me add it to my list of preferred networks.
