I'm on vacation in Mexico here, and I have wifi internet access in my room, and it's worked great all week long, until today when I applied the "Security Update 2008-005".

Immediately after restarting the machine the signal got really lousy, and I have problems keeping the connection. Before the install/reboot it was stable and I had no problems at all. Now it just keeps falling out.

Opened AirRadar here, and it shows the signal going from 20% down to 0%, then up again etc etc.

Anybody else here have problems or suggestions for how to fix this?

Amen, I thought I was the only one!

According to my Software Update Logs, I installed the 2008-005 security update on August 6, which is just around the time I started having problems with WIFI reception. It was a sudden onset, which tends to discount some sort of hardware problem...
