Airport Problems

I have White 13 inch Macbook and when i go into network preferences my status off my airport is OFF....so when i try to click the "TURN AIRPORT ON" button it doesnt turn on....i can click it but it wont turn on...I was wondering if anybody had any ideas?
 
Do you have administrative rights on your account? It could be blocked by Parental Controls.
