Airport question

Just purchased iMac, iPad2, iPhone4, HP8500a wireless printer. Have a 3 story home (incl basement). Is an airport extreme (like I bought) overkill or is an airport express sufficient? Just interested in wireless access and printing throughtout the house. hardware below (in signature block). The extreme was only $65 more, no big deal, but just curious...

The Express likely won't have enough power for a good signal throughout your house, but then again your AEBS might not either. It depends on how your house is constructed, how big it is, and the placement of the base station.

stick to the extreme.. has more functions and more power.. in the event that it doesn't cover your home completely you can purchase an aditional express to extend.. but it should be enough if you are using the 802.11 N on all of your machines

I will stay with the extreme. All the equipment is on the main floor...with roaming into the upstairs and basement.
