Requires AirPort Extreme ready system. AirPort Extreme ready systems are those with mini-PCI support form factor. AirPort Extreme cards cannot be used in older AirPort card bays (PCMCIA form factor slot).

So in other words, I cannot install an Airport Extreme card into my old slot loading iMac correct?

That's right. You cannot use the new 802.11g cards in anything but the 12 and 17 inch powerbooks released today. Boo, hiss etc.

Do you think I can use old airpord card (802.11b...just Airport card) on the new 12" Tibook.

Why would you want to?

Do you already have an older Airport card?
