Hi everyone.
I searched for an answer to this question, but haven't found one.
I'm trying to re-connect a security camera (SimpliSafe) to my AirPort Extreme router.
The camera isn't dual band compatible, and needs a 2.4GHz signal.

I've been struggling with this for the past year. I've searched all over the place, but nothing has resolved this issue. The SimpliSafe "techs" are friendly, but have no idea what's up.

Here's the background info. The camera was previously connected and worked perfectly. When I updated something, maybe their app (it's been over a year), camera would no longer connect to the wireless network.

They keep sending me replacement cameras, but none of them will connect.

I'm not a tech genius . . . which is why I buy Mac equipment (It usually just works).

Any thoughts on how to configure the router, so the camera will find the network?

Thanks in advance.

Maybe try separating the 2.4GHz and 5GHz band.

I did this for different reasons on my AirPort Extreme.

I was having congestion issues with the 2.4GHz band, but the 5GHz band worked great. I would have just disabled the 2.4GHz band, but some of my devices are not compatible with the 5GHz band, so I separated the two by naming the 5GHz band slightly different.

Most of my devices are connected to the much faster, and less congested 5GHz band, while the few devices that are incompatible with the 5GHz band are still connected to the 2.4GHz band.
