Hey there,
I bought my first mac, a Macbook pro 13" mid 2010, last monday.
At first everything was working great, it connected to my home WiFi without any problems.
So I took it with me to work on tuesday, connected to the WiFi there. But then it gave me "Self Assigned IP adress, not able to connect to internet" or something like that. Now it was a really weak signal, it wasn't even 1 bar, so maybe that was the problem, but I'm not sure. (iPod couldn't connect either)
I haven't been able to test any other networks (gonna test on neighbours' internet tomorrow) so I'm worried there's something wrong with my first mac.
I hope any of you can give me some peace of mind cause I'm kind of worried about this.
Thanks in advance!

EDIT: Just found an unprotected WiFi signal in my street, it connected and got the right IP. Sites take too long to load cause the signal is bad, but I guess I'm good to go!
