Airport Setup

Where to begin? I decided to upgrade my network. I had two Airport Expresses (802.11g). I now also have an Extreme as base station and another Express (802.11n). I set up the Extreme with a new network as a bridge to my Netgear router. I was able to set up the new Express (802.11n) to join that network. First problem is that the new express signals green but is not transmitting the network, so not much use as an extension. Second problem is that the old Expresses can be seen and configured by Airport Utility, but once configured are not able to re-start (and are then no longer visible to Utility). Have hard reset all the devices about 10 times. Have also taken off all password protection. Nothing works. Help.
