I'm a month old mac user so I apologize if this is a painfully obvious question, and I did search but didn't find what I was looking for.

Right now I'm using my Lynksys Wireless G router, with the ethernet plugged right into my mac, like it was for my PC.

If I buy an Airport Base Station (or if I wait for time capsule which I probably will do) will it work exactly the same? My wife and I both have PC laptops for work and my daughter has a wireless PCI card in her PC that will use the wireless connection but I wasn't sure if the wireless signal worked the same way and if we'll still just see the network the same way we do now. I thought someone said Airports were Wireless N rather than Wireless G so I wasn't sure if it would still work the same way.

Thanks in advance.

Yes it will work the same way. If all your devices are G then it will run on G.
