I have an Imac 24" connected to an (older) Airport Extreme. (the round one) The airport is connected via a network cable to a Speedtouch ADSL modem connected to the internet. This setup works fine. No problems here.
I also own an Ibook G3. Since this has no Airport card I connected a Belkin wireless USB Dongle. I downloaded all the appropriate drivers and software. I can connect the Ibook to my own Airport base station without any problems.
Airport tells me that there are 2 wireless clients connected. the Ibook and the Imac. (Even my Speedtouch modem sees my Ibook)
So far so good! Now I try to go on the Internet. No way, though at the same time I have no problems via the Imac Airport wireless connection!
When I search my neighbourhood for a free Wifi connection (there is) and login with the same Ibook Belkin combination/setup all works flawlessly.
Only my own Airport setup seems to give problems.
What am I overseeing?
I must be doing something wrong. But what?
