I have recently converted to Apple wireless networking hardware from Linksys for, among other reasons, AirTunes capability. The Extreme base station is working very well, but I am having a problem setting up the Express base station needed for AirTunes.

The Airport Utility picks up the base station just fine. I can get through the entire configuration process just fine. Then the utility re-starts the Express base station, and it disappears from the Airport Utility's list of peripherals, with the Express itself blinking amber.

The troubleshooting advice for a blinking amber base station is to reset it, which makes no difference, or to reset it to factory pre-sets, which gets me back to the beginning. The Express shows up in the Airport Utility list so that I can configure it, at which point it disappears from the list while the unit blinks amber. The troubleshooting advice for a blinking amber base station is...you get the picture.

I've even tried setting it up using a PC instead of a Mac, and I've moved the Express base station to different locations even though there isn't a signal strength issue.

Anyone have any ideas?
