I saw an update became available for Airport Express and Time Machine. This was listed on MacUpdate.com. I went to try and open my Airport Utility and it refuses to open. The icon appears in the Dock for half a second and then disappears.

How can I get into the utility to do the update?

One man's experience..

I installed the 7.4.2 update in 5 minutes with no issues what so ever. I DO NOT have any hard drive connected to the APE.

i just tried to reinstall airport utility but it would not let me because i had a newer version installed than the one i just downloaded from apple. i deleted the newer installed airport utility using appzapper and then reinstalled airport utility successfully this time.

everything works fine now and i just updated airport utility with system update.

thanks for the advice.
