Haven't been able to figure this one out. My macbook(10.5) suddenly dropped my wifi connection last night. I clicked the airport tab in the menu bar and noticed all the available networks (mine and neighbors) are all there, but they are spelled wrong. For instance, my network is called "iRizout" but is showing up as "iRizowt". "Linskys" is showing up as "Linsk{s". So on and so forth. I cannot connect to any of them. My old ibook and PMg5 both work fine. I've tried restarting and nothing. Any ideas???

Zap PRAM and repair permissions. The instructions can be found here. Although this probably won't solve the problem, many random problems I have seen fixed with a reset.

If this doesn't help, then try an external USB wireless card. If it works and airport does not, then the hardware Airport runs on is most likely boned.:(
